Allen followed David’s suggestion and as expected he was caught out the next day for failing to make his bed. Harry was more than a little puzzled about that. David was careless about making his bed about once a month, but it had been more than a year since Allen had forgotten.

“Then it would be all right if I talk to Alice about the things we’ve done?”

“Just remember to be sure neither Allen and Susan hear about our advanced sex education classes.”

“Okay, dad, I promise.”

Allen came downstairs, the three of them had dinner, and they all trooped next door for some games or TV as they usually did when all the kids finished their homework in the afternoon.
